BIGGA offers three main opportunities to receive funding towards your Learning and Development:
Scholarship Opportunities
Higher Education Scholarship (supported by Jacobsen)
Thanks to generous support from Jacobsen, BIGGA has been able to award Higher Education Scholarships since 2002.
Designed to help full members of BIGGA move into higher education, a one-off scholarship of up to £1000 may be awarded to those studying for the following qualifications:
- N/SVQ Level 4
- Higher National Certificate
- Foundation Degree/HND
- BSc Turf Management

Refund of Fees Scheme (supported by Baroness)
The Refund of Fees scheme supported by Baroness in conjunction with the Learning and Development Fund enables Full BIGGA members to claim 80% (up to a maximum of £500) of education and training course costs.

ICL Continue to Learn Scholarship
The ICL Continue to Learn Scholarship offers five BIGGA members the opportunity to attend the Continue to Learn at BTME education programme. The scholarship is worth approximately £500 and comprises three nights' hotel accommodation and a comprehensive education package.

Deb is responsible for the organisation and operation of BIGGA’s learning opportunities throughout the year, including the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) scheme, the Future Turf Managers Initiative (FTMI) and Toro Student Greenkeeper of the Year, alongside countless other activities. She also is responsible for the production of the Continue to Learn programme and delivery each year.
