Assistant Greenkeeper Vacancy
Location: Blandford, Dorset
The Ashley Wood Golf Club founded in 1896 and is situated in North Dorset with spectacular views across the Countryside. Originally a 9 hole course but in 1994 expanded to a full 18 hole course which can be enjoyed and offers a challenge for all levels of ability.
We are a friendly Members Club with over 650 playing members of all categories and operating a waiting list for new members.
We are now looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our current team of 5 Greenkeepers to help build on the growing positive reputation for our Golf Course within the area.
The Successful Applicant would need to demonstrate the following:

NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Greenkeeping/Sports Turf Management

PA1, PA2 & PA6 spraying qualification & chainsaw certificate would be advantageous

A sound knowledge of modern machinery usage and maintenance

A strong understanding of Health & Safety especially within Greenkeeping

A good understanding of the game of Golf

This is a full time position working a minimum of 40 hours per week. Overtime at Weekends
A flexible approach will be needed to include weekend work as required.
